Still have power! Which is amazing considering all you have to do around here is fart and the lights usually go out! Lots of rain and BIGGGG gusts of wind. I can hear the dam rats coming in from the river. May have to introduce them to a friend of mine by the name of mr .45 and his brother 12gauge. hahaha Cops just stopped by for more beer lol. Crazy asses have been doing donuts in front with their cruisers while blaring the sirens!!! |

Not being a stranger to savage Atlantic Storms, good luck!!!! Ironically, years back a Canadian Rock Band "The Tragically Hip" had a hit song titled "New Orleans is Sinking" |

Bigeasy: I wish you and the Confederate Motorcycle Company the best of luck in weathering out the storm. I wouldn't want the Hellcat to become even rarer and more expensive. |

A two block long gap opened up in the Lake Pontchartrain levee over night, and 80% of the city is under water, up to 20 feet in depth in places. This is going to take a while to clean up. Jim |

Yahoo/AP is reporting looting in New Orleans (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050830/ap_on_re_us/katrina_looting). "One man, who had about 10 pairs of jeans draped over his left arm, was asked if he was salvaging things from his store. "No," the man shouted, "that's EVERYBODY'S store." Looters filled industrial-sized garbage cans with clothing and jewelry and floated them down the street on bits of plywood and insulation as National Guard lumbered by. Mike Franklin stood on the trolley tracks and watched the spectacle unfold. "To be honest with you, people who are oppressed all their lives, man, it's an opportunity to get back at society," he said". ************************ Those b*stards deserve nothing short of summary execution from the National Guard. |

You know, I really wish I had told him he could come and stay with me. I hate the thought that he might be down there and want to leave, but have no place to go. Hopefully thats not the case. |
