Big THANKS go to Al and Joanne of American Sport Bike for putting on yet another awesome BBQ for us Buellers.

The weather was HOT, the bikes were COOL, the food was GREAT and the crowd was HAPPY!

I got there early, but Ferris already beat me. Well, sort of...

Joanne signing people in.

Did I mention the BBQ was awesome?

FREE TPS resets! COOL! Buy your race ECM and have your TPS done all at once.

There were lots of cool bikes to see.

How about a nitrous S2 and a turbo S2 side by side!

Then it was time for everyone to vote for their favorite bike(s).

Well that's all for tonight. Thanks again to everyone! It was a great day.

One last shot.

Cool Timbo, thanks for posting all that. I fought with my computer last night (swap space issue) and wasn't able to do the photo download thing.

What Timbo didn't write or show a picture of was that his most excellent Orange/Nuke Blue (the SECOND best Buell color combo ever : ) ) took both best S1 and Best of Show! It is a very cool S1W. I'll get some other pics up later once I solve the computer problem, but Timbo's pics captured the event well.

Our vendors were most generous this year, we had a lot of cool prizes from CRG, Technoresearch, Heavycycles, Crossroads, Motion Pro, Drag Specialties, Fast company, Speigler, Lyndall, and lots more. Everybody left with something. There were some amusing moments.
Tat (who now runs a Matco tool truck) won the Motion Pro Tool kit : )
Joe Albe (of Heavycycles) who donated an integrated tail light won a technoresearch VDST kit for Buells...now he has to buy a Buell.
Reindog, who had just told me he had to replace the mirrors on his Uly won the CRG mirrors.
More often than not, small folks won the 2XL tee shirts, and large folks won the small Tees
Nelson commented that he needed to get a more modern Buell than his S2. So he won the Blast jet kit to get him started.

Special thanks to Ebear, Reindog, and Chris Matty for leading the groups on rides to get to American Sport Bike. Everyone got there safely, though very sweaty, as it was a toasty Socal Day.

Thanks all for coming, and thanks for the business support that makes it possible for us to do it!

Great pics, Timbo! Glad to see you and Matty made it down.

Dang I wish it weren't so far away with nothing but freeway and traffic in between. Mebbe next year...

In my haste to get the pics up before it got too late, I failed to mention all the very cool items that were donated for the raffle.

I really, REALLY wanted those CRG mirrors, or the CRG levers would have been nice. Then again the cool foot pegs from Crossroads would have been nice, four sets of those were had by lucky winners. The Kellerman blinkers would have looked good on my bike, and there was not just one but two scan tools raffled as well.

So many killer prizes! Hats, t-shirts all kinds of cool stuff.

Alas, I got a coffee mug. Not one of the better prizes, but it is a PitBull coffe mug, that's cool. Then Matty said "hey, I need a coffee mug. I won these XB sintered brake pads? Wanna trade?" To wich I said "uh, yeah, you sure?" Then he said, "Sure I'm sure, I don't have an XB"

Too cool, thanks Matty!

Hmmm, then again, maybe he's just trying to slow me down. Lets see, take away his coffee and put the brakes on him.

Naw, not Matty, he's fast enough as it is!

Like I said, good time with good people.

And I'm here at work enjoying my morning cuppa in my fancy Pitbull coffe mug. Thank you very much Pitbull, Al, and Timbo.
Oh, and Buell for giving me a fun way to get to San Diego =)

The American Sport Bike BBQ was awesome. I ate so much tri-tip that I skipped dinner Sunday night. However, I did trade up for a couple of Samuel Adams while helping Al with the swap space issues.

Al and Joanne have copies of all my photos so I think the plan is for them to post. If not, Al will let me know and I can Badweb them.

I stayed true to my Forger moniker on the pre-BBQ ride which I led. Riders were constantly flogged with the "two minutes to kickstands up" recurring theme of the ride. Couser Canyon, Palomar twisty west side, Palomar gentle east grade, Mesa Grande loop, Wynola road loop, Cuyamaca run, Engineer road loop, Highland Valley road twister, and finally Harmony Grove Rd. It was my first time leading a ride so it was a highly enjoyable experience. Thanks to all who rode with me.

BTW, my XB12X was an incredible steed. I think
it was easier to turn in the twisties due to the added moment arm of the height.

It was really funny stopping at Mothers at the top of Mt. Palomar. Bikers of all persuations surrounded the XB12X like I was a queen bee.
