I have heard Vallejo (north/east + across the bay from San Francisco) is good...dropped in there one time on a road trip and they knew what they were looking at chatting up about the 'bolt. Also stopped in Ukiah...good group of guys...they are in the upper middle portion of the state about 120 miles north of San Francisco. I am in Arroyo Grande in the middle of the state near the coast...not much in this area...big hole in the service network although I hear there is a dealer in Fresno (east middle portion of state) and Ventura (2/3 down the state along the coast). There is a dealer in Santa Maria near me but I don't know how long they will be a Buell dealer...they have always done good work though. |

Fresno HB/Buell. Talk to Bobby! Avoid Glendale, Bartels, bad experiences both places. |

What DFbutler said...but beware, Bobby REALLY likes to talk about Buells...well I guess about anything...but he is the service manager and he will take care of you, he took really good care of mine when it was in...plus he made me a hell of a deal on an exhaust. He used to have a S3T...not sure what he rides now....It is easy to get to, right off of HWY 99... (Message edited by Essthreetee on August 29, 2005) |

Seriosuly, narrow it down a little. That's kinda like me saying I'm going out to the North East and looking for a shop. Cali is about 800 miles from one end to the other. Vik |

Dfbutler, I have to disagree with you about Glendale. They have always treated me well and are strong supporters of not only BRAG but also privateer racers who compete at Willow Springs on Buells. They are very Buell friendly and many of the employees own Buells themselves. Timbo |

Branebanger, If look up the dealer locations on Buell.com. I can make recommendations for Vallejo and McGuires. |

I would wholeheartedly recommend Glendale. It's pretty much the only shop in the LA Area worth a damn when it comes to Buells. A number of the employees ride 'em. They race 'em. They've got a couple of crack wrenches who work on 'em. They've got a decent BRAG group. Just try 'em out. -Saro |

In So.Cal stop by Glendale HD Buell and introduce yourself to Ernie. They are tops. They sell 'em,support 'em,ride 'em and race 'em.Plus you can check out the Uly.-And get directions to The Crest, one the best rides out here. |

Chaconas, I made the effort to travel to Glendale, twice as far as my local dealers, BECAUSE of their support of Buell/BRAG. I was there three times with appointments and they did not do the work I had appointments for. If you can drop your bike off for days at a time maybe the work might get done, but my personal experience is that they do not deliver. |

Just met with Adam(Branebanger) at Vallejo Buell.Did not realize he was in Santa Barbara when he was looking for a dealer to service bike.He rode up in the early, early AM to be here for 8:00 am appointment. They are getting his bike all serviced up for him.Had a nice chat and took him for a quick spin in the fire engine over to the race shop where I left him and Terry Parsley deep in computer jabber on XB fuel injection. |

I'm real interested to see what Terry and his crew come up with for their race bike's fuel system. Thanks for the report and for your hospitality amigo. |

All I can say is THANK YOU !!!! to firemanjim(and dynobueller), any time you(guys) are in the nyc area just give me a call, you have a bike to use(my uly) , a place to stay (my house), and all the budweiser you can stomach(my fridge). I'm pm'ing you my personal info. I'm serious and i'll be insulted if you don't take me up on it. your recommendation of vallejo was spot on. I called and was promised almost nothing, except for an oil change. at first they were not even sure they could take me at all. Next thing you know I left with an oil change, some new friends, and as one of the techs put it, "the most detailed" 5k service he's ever seen in his life. I called the night before and got in and out the next day. amazing. didn't mean to leave in such a rush but have to be back at work tuesday and had to be home sunday night to take care of things. just an aside: I've read so many people complaining about their (HD/BUELL) dealers, but I've only dealt with 2 in my life - and both have given me service above and beyond anything else i've experienced. I used to wonder why people are so into the Harley thing, if alot of the dealers are like Liberty and Vallejo, it's no longer a mystery to me. If you have a good product and good service, its a no brainer. .... got me thinking ... what's harley stock at now ? |

Vik,we gave him the VIP guided tour.I was there in fire engine picking up parts and ferried him and Terry over to the new race shop.He got to check out the XB and my Bonneville bike.Left him and Terry deep in gibberish. |
