Hey gang!

I need help. I've recently acquired a 2006 Ulysses with 22k on the clock. When I got it, it had been sitting for about year and half.

Here's what I've already done:

-Drained old gas.
-Put in new, with Seafoam.
-Replaced intake seals.
-Replaced battery.
-Changed engine oil, primary too.
-New brake fluid.

Here's the dilemma:

I got it to run, but it runs horribly. The idle is very rough. It sputters, stumbles, and pops, especially at low RPMs (below 4.5k). When I rev it up past 4.5k, out of gear, it sounds fine. In gear while riding, it has no power and does what I described above also.

No fault codes present, makes good fuel pressure, integral components don't look fouled.

I'm stumped! Maybe a TPS reset? Rebuild fuel pump?

I'm very new to Buell, please advise as to what I should check in more depth.

Thanks!

If the ECM is in its stock location under the seat sometimes the seat hits it and damages it. These bikes are known for ground issues. Fouling spark plugs are common when the bike sits and gets off to a bad start. Search ECM location for information on that there's plenty here. A bad TPS reset will mess things up. I have taken a perfectly running 06 Uly and made it run like crap by tuning it up and screwing up the TPS which when you do it according to the directions is so simple. I use ECMSPY for mono with a cable I bought on ebay to do the reset. It can also read codes and a wealth of stuff I don't understand. Good luck. I really like my Swiss Army Bike .

Noticed you did not list new spark plugs. Definitely they should be changed out for new, proper ones. Proper TPS reset and tuning will be needed. When they are set up right, they run great at all levels.

While on the subject of resetting the TPS, can anyone advise me on how to do it properly using ECMDroid and the corresponding dongle? I've been trying to setup ECMSPY on a virtual Windows machine (I run Linux natively) with little success.

Duly noted about the plugs, my friend I'd inherited the bike from said he checked them, and they looked okay. Could just replace anyway.
