Howdy everyone new Bueller here. I picked up a gem of an S1 (Nonthunderhead) from a close family friend for a steal of a price and it has a KurYakyn Hypercharger on the girl with a Vance and Hines slip on (Sounds awesome) It having sat for +10 years I dipped the carb and put a kit in it (easy enough) I neglected to keep the old jets for sizing on the new one's I got. Chancing it I put the new jets in that came with a no name kit and she runs GREAT! I'm assuming they're the stock size intended for a Sporty or Tube Buell with a Keihin CV40. I have an occasional pop with no flames from exhaust or intake (maybe every two-three minutes), and NO hesitation when I'm cruising at 4k RPM's. She doesn't seem to be overheating ethier. I don't have enough miles on the new plugs to get a read if I'm rich or lean. Thing starts great, rides better, and idles beautifully. My question is, what jet size would you recommend for the modifications done to the bike? Thank you in advance! |

#45 idle, #190 main ought to do it. Lots of info for diddling with carb in the Knowledge Vault section. Intake manifold gaskets are typically a cause for cough. I occasionally find a barely detectable tear in the vacuum diaphragm. You might also check for info in vault on the Kuryakyn. There was a mod necessary to some models to make them work correctly on a Buell. SteveH |

Update: I sized up to 195 main (190's were two weeks out) and 45 on the idle. She purrs now, the miss/sputtering is gone, and I don't have to mess with my idle speed when it's cold anymore. Very happy with the bike. I'll see if going down to a 190 main hurts or helps anything in the coming weeks. Thanks a lot SteveH for the advise let me know if I can mail you a sixer haha!
