Recently replaced the failed OEM regulator on my Uly with a FH020AA unit (works great) and struggled with coming up with an adapter setup for mounting it. Turns out some 3/4" thick furniture grade hardwood provided an easy answer. Easy to fabricate with a bandsaw using the original reg as a pattern. (Recommend allowing extra wall thickness around the bolt holes). Teak oil for preservation. Provides needed spacing for the connectors to clear as well as heat/vibration isolation. If it lasts only a few years it would take twenty minutes to fabricate another. I like it.... a constant 14.2 volts is sweet as well.
