Picked up a barn find s1w and am trying to get it running.
It was extremely dirty and corroded with an inch of barn scum.

I used a power washer and got it pretty clean. Picked up a new battery and connected it.

Turned ignition to park mode and the tail light and dash lights go on.

Turned ignition to ‘on’ and here’s where the problem is. Dash lights work. Headlight low and hi work, starter button works. But no horn, no turn signals, no tail light and no brakes lights. All the fuses are fine. Where should I start trouble shooting?

I mention the power washer because I wonder if I was too aggressive with the water? Unfortunately I also briefly shorted the positive battery terminal to frame while installing battery because I dropped screwdriver briefly against terminal.

Battery is brand new. 13.8 volts

Since the tail light works in park, but not in ign, I would look to the switch. It has not been used in years, and internal corrosion and lack of lubrication could be at play.

And the power wash may be a factor. Give it a day or two to dry out, or apply a hair dryer for a few minutes.

Hope this helps, Dave
