quick run down of my situation.
I have purchased ecmspy and a cable from ecmcable.com , the computer wont see the bike. I keep getting the error message that the ftdi drivers failed to load or cant be found. I have messaged the cable company and they say their cable has the correct drivers installed in the cable and that it should recognize that. 2000 X1 lightning with new hammer performance 1250 kit and extensive head work done. I have both a race ecm (2000) and a stock ecm (1999). I currently have the 99 ecm in it as I was told the race ecm is way to hot for the 1250 kit.
Any and all input and experiences greatly appreciated. its ready to ride but dan at hammer has me fearful of damage to the engine if I don't readjust the fuel and the timing. I just want to ride it !

Did you get any help with this? im no help to you but im about to be in the same place. 1250kit and head work. Be interested to know if you got a map for it and how you went |

No it’ still sits . Waiting 😪 help me help you by pestering Hammer performance and get support for us guys who do this and then find themselves stuck not able to ride . Unless we ditch the FI and go carburetor which means spending another grand to do so .
Hammer is working on an x1 that was shipped to them from Europe. They are keeping the FI SO NOW THEY HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE MOTIONS AND GET THE PROGRAM WORKING .i hope at that point I could sent them my ecm and they map it to what their kit and head work . I’m also half tempted to take a long road trip and take the bike to them and let them do it in house |

I had a similar problem with ecmspy for an XB. I contacted the cable supplier and they gave me a link to download the driver. That seemed so solve that problem (still plenty of others!). |

I did contact the cable company and they said the drivers are inbeded in the cable . This whole process is very frustrating |

I just noticed that one of the cables on ebay does not support earlier windows versions so you have to be careful with that. |
