Well I'm stumped, my 2000 Buell X1 is having the weirdest issue. (1) It will start/idle/rev just fine, but as soon as I even begin to let out the clutch, right before it begins to engage, it dies. Will literally drag the rpms down like I hit the kill switch even if I immediately pull the clutch in. (2) But the really weird part is, if I coast it down hill and then engage the clutch it will run and shift through all the gears just fine, so long as I keep it below like 50%/75% throttle. Give it too much gas and it will sputter very harshly like it's running out of fuel or something. I can't think of anything that would cause this, and I'm planning on buying the Spyware to see if it can pin point the issue, but if anyone has some troubleshooting advice, it would be much appreciated! |

Has the side stand switch been bypassed? Have you tried bypassing the clutch switch? Is the fuel pressure within limits? Just for weird fun, might try unplugging the speed sensor. I know, that makes no sense, but . . . Hope this helps, Dave |
