Ok, I have an 06 xb12x with a Jardine rt1 slip-on and an open airbox mod. I think it may be time for a nit of tuning. I think I want to adjust the fuel ratio. I think the bike has a stock ecm, and I don't own anything to modify it yet. I guess my question is, what do I need to purchase in order to make this happen? I also don't have a clue as to how to use this stuff. |

As the saying goes, To Err Is Human, To Really Mess Things Up Takes A Computer. To answer your question, you will need a copy of ECMSpy, drivers so your computer can talk to the program and the bike, and a cable. There are folks here, I am sure, that have programs you can download to your ECM. If it were me, I would get with EBR Racing and see what they have in stock. Perhaps a new or exchange ECM with the appropriate program. Or get with Firemanjim. He may have the programs, and can certainly explain the benefits and pitfalls of doing it yourself. If you do decide to DIY, plan on a fair amount of run and stop, run and stop, if you don't have access to a dyno. All of the above is my personal opinion, worth exactly what you paid for it. I do hope this helps, Dave |

I have an ECMSpy cable I can give you if you pay for shipping, $5. Here is a link to my Dropbox and ECMSpy as well as just about everything else needed to log and tune. You will also need Megalog Viewer. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/50730220/Buell %20Stuff/EcmSpySetup_1.12.27.exe No need and buying an ECM when everything for XBs can be downloaded for free. |
