Wasn't sure where to post it

I am sure that if you did this you had to try several different parts to get the stuff that ended up working. And that is my question.

I want to vent the lower end and was advised that the place to do it is at the timing large set screw - right side (between the push rod tubes).

One guy said that the bottom end is already vented by a hose that is mostly covered up by the right side engine case cover so it is hard to see. But that vents the lower end.

Do I on my 2000 X-1 have a bottom end breather coming off the right side of the bottom end?

In any event the question is - would venting the lower end do some good or one might say - extra protection.

So, if I add an extra vent (if I already have a lower end vent) what parts to get to do the job??? Parts that are available now days

Has anyone vented the lower end? Where did you vent to?
