Hello all, I recently tried to put some LED lights on my Blast P3 and am running into some issues. I have installed resistors that I bought from O'Riley Auto parts and it seems like this has not done the trick. My lights remain constantly on and will not flash...anyone else have had this issue??} |

When the turn signals illuminate but refuse to flash, it is either the flasher unit, or it does not have enough load from the signals (common issue with LEDs). You will need to increase the resistance, or get a different flasher designed for LEDs. Your best bet is a flasher like this: http://www.amazon.com/3-Pin-CF-13-Electronic-Flash er-Signal/dp/B008C9YJ6C O'Riley likely has them too, I've seen them at Autozone. |

Awesome. I don't think adding more resistance will be accmplished for me because I already have some resitors attached to the wires... |

Will that flasher work though with stock tail light/headlights? |

The flasher only deals with the turn signals, headlight and tail lights are on different circuits. |

Okay side note...if I connect one old turn signal-lets say the back-and a new LED turn signal on the front they will work. Any ideas/reasoning why this is |

What you need is a EP36 Flasher Relay. Like Froggy said, they auto parts store should have it. http://www.autozone.com/electrical-and-lighting/ha zard-warning-flasher/novita-hazard-warning-flasher /6417_0_0/ And to answer your question, the stock bulb provides the additional resistance required for the relay to function properly. Awesome! Y'all are great. So if I go get this flasher it should work even though the resistance is obviously not high enough with the current resistors that I have installed on |

Start with the right flasher relay. You may have wired up the resistors wrong (in series instead of parallel). With the right relay, you should be able to completely remove them. |

The resistor has to be wired in parallel like said ^.

Which will work, but it will get warm and is another thing to break, so better to swap out the relay (and probably no more expensive). |

Alright just for those who will read this and wonder what worked... The relay worked right away. I would now recommend getting the relay was about 10 dollars at autozone and worked right away...cheaper than getting the resistors. The resistors I TRIED the first time where 25 ohm which provided to low of resistance. Putting the resistors on was very simple but would say just go with the relay track first and if that does not work move onto the resistors |
