I have a 99 s3 and I am having problems with loading the race maps, the files I have are for x1 and s3 from my understanding they are compatible but when I load the fuel and timing maps and try to start it this causes a bad backfire through the exhaust and will not run. I have gone through every thread looking for tips does anyone have an alternate set of maps they could send me or any advice on procedure? Thanks.

You have to do a TPS reset after you load a map that way the ecu knows where to set the fuel with the new map to the TPS.
