Hi Guys, I'm short and need a taller set of bars that I can also tip back closer to me. I already have American Sport Bike risers and because I lowered the bike 1" the gauges stayed in the stock position. Can I do S3T bars with the risers and will i need to switch out cables? I know the front brake cable is plenty long, but I worry about the rest. I need to keep the risers to clear the fork tubes. Thanks! (Message edited by MOBILE on July 20, 2015) |

Did the S3T bars on my X-1; made a big difference as to riding position. The clutch cable is Just long enough. So guessing that with risers the clutch cable will be too short. The others will most likely have enough slack. Hope this helps, Dave |

Thanks Dave! So can I buy a S3T clutch cable? Are they longer? Thanks, Chad |

My notes say a S3T clutch cable is the longest tuber cable but I have no measurement. Please get one and let me know how long it is from end pin to end pin. I have one that is about 53 1/2 and one about 54 but no part #'s. My notes also say XB= 54.5, 1200= 54, 883 sporty= 61, Lightning= 54.5, Firebolt= 53.25,. No guarantees warrantees or otherwise implied. Good luck. |
