I can get one for a good price. Is there anything to be gained for use on a 97 Cyclone? If so, any jetting suggestions? |

Not sure about the jetting for a 97 Cyclone they are stock Sportster motors, not the Thunderstorm of later models. You won't see much of any performance gain but when you get it set right there is a drive-ability gain. Smoother throttle delivery and such. |

Well the price is right...The engine runs nicely but the stock CV carb seems to be over responsive to throttle closing..Back off the throttle a little bit and engine slows down more than expected... |

Depending on which HSR42 it is you may need to change out the cable bracket so the cables fit properly. There are two different brackets. The one on the right is the one you want.
