Probably not even close to the right location on this board. Anyhow...does anyone know the correct location fo template that can be made from a block of wood to help distribute the load when jacking up the back of the bike. I'm in the middle of replacing the belt. My bike is an 05 XB12R. I am also using a pit jack that cams over but there is a short time that I have to support the bike under the muffler in order to replace the belt. Thanx in advance everyone. |

Here are some templates to make your own jack cradle: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/327 77/448564.html?1238894950 That said, belt replacement on the XB and 1125 bikes does not require jacking anything up. I've done it on the side of the road before. Remove rear pinch bolt, loosen the axle 15 turns, remove belt guards, remove the brace on the swingarm, then the belt should pull right off. Do the reverse and tighten to correct torque spec to reassemble. |
