Is it 2qts or 3?? How would be the best way for the primary to tell when is enough? |

Your ENGINE oil capacity is around 2.5 quarts, if you use the longer "dyna" type oil filter, or any of the longer aftermarket ones. Don't overfill, the oil WILL find its way out of your engine. Your PRIMARY fluid capacity is just under 1 quart. Measured by taking off your derby cover - fluid should be just to the bottom of the clutch pack. In all honesty I have always just dumped in 1 full quart in the primary and never had any problems. |

In my 2000 or 2001 M2's it has always been 2 qts. for the engine and 1 qt. for the trans./primary and never had an issue plus it's easy to remember. |
