So, I'm trying to finish my engine build and I'm not too confident with the way the Cometic rocker box gaskets fit. They seem to be too big for the grooves that are in the lower rocker boxes. I tried using a small plastic putty knife to influence the fit but that didn't work. They just won't fit as nicely as the OEM gaskets did. Anyway, this is the only thing keeping my motor out of my bike right now. I don't want to button this thing up with the feeling that something isn't right. Anyone else have this issue or have any advice? |

I've had the same issue. I reused the old ones after a couple of attempts. |

Yeah, it's been confirmed. Reuse old gaskets is what I'm going to need to do. I hope the company selling this "top end rebuild kit" takes my advice and warns its costumers ahead of time that they will either need to reuse or buy new push rod cover and rocker box cover gaskets. The ones in the kit are not a direct OEM replacement |
