I'm new on the site and this is my first post. In the last step trying to remove carburetor, I get stuck when the instructions (from service manual) say "using needle nose pliers, carefully pull idle cable barrel from hole in throttle wheel...." (there are two to remove.) I can't for the life of me find any way to remove these barrels (pins). There is nothing to grab to pull out. Any suggestions? |

First of all post in ENGINE/ Fuel etc. you'll get faster answers. Anyway the cable barrel is the steel crimped thingy at the end of the cable. Loosen the cables first ALOT and pull the cable out of the round throttle wheel groove and slide cable/barrel end out of the slot where the barrel is slid into the round throttle wheel. You will have to do both of course. |

Thanks. I'll give it another try. I think the first time the cables were not loose enough. And net time I'll post in the more appropriate place. Still getting the hang of it. |
