YOU SHOULD FIX IT! Why are we yelling? You sure it's a push rod tube cover, and not a rocker box? Rocker box would be better news, it would mean you don't have to pull the head. Pulling the head isn't that much more of a big deal, but it gets a little more expensive with gaskets. On the upside, you can inspect your crank and at least one piston while its apart. |

I thought it was the head... the pushrod tube sits into the bottom of an overhang on the head. But I could easily be wrong. |

You don't have to pull the head - you DO have to remove the pushrod - |

Not even the whole rocker box - just unbolt the rockers arm assemblies themselves and the pushrod will lift right out. |
