So I waited too long to deal with a symptom I had read about out here. The bike was starting to leak a little oil that I could see between the frame and back side of the engine, nothing major, but enough to notice. I kept riding for a bit as I was reading about leaking rockerboxes & also started putting together my next parts list to order at A.S.B. Well, on my ride home Friday the check engine light came on solid. Nothing felt strange but I did notice that I wasn't hearing the fan when I slowed down. When I got home and checked she was of course throwing the error code for the fan so 1 more part added to my order. I've put together my parts list for a couple of projects as well as some preventative maintenance and I am looking for any other suggestions or references to other posts that might be helpful. I've read a few discussing different levels of engine rotation & I am unclear how much is enough to get in to the rear rocker box. Can I leave the rear tire on or will it have to come off as well to allow the engine to rotate further? Also, does the fuel have to be drained? At least one reference included that but some others I read didn't mention that at all. I would rather not if I don't have to, but if I do then that is of course what I will do. As I said thoughts, suggestions, and links appreciated. Also , below is my A.S.B. parts list. Am I missing anything or are there some other things I should take care of while doing this as well?
