Hi all, I need help with a mystery check engine light. Once my bike has warmed up (say after 30min of riding) whenever i drop the revs to come to a stop light or giveway, the check engine light comes on. Once I accelerate away after about 2 seconds the light disappears. There is no error code being saved, and i can't go for a logged ECMspy ride because i can't get the f%$king cable to talk to my computer. There doesn't appear to be anything else wrong. Bike is a 2006 xb12x, I have moved the ECM (problem was happening before and is now sill happening) and i originally thought oil pressure (even though its not the oil light) so i changed the oil and filter but it still is happening. I don't ride the bike hard. Has anyone had this same problem?? Any hints or diagnostics welcomed. cheers |

I have a 2009 XB12scg. I was having intermittent electrical issue. The head lights would go dim for a second, die at stop signs, and got so bad that the bike would shut down during rides. After spending hours going through grounds, connections, bypassing the ignition, and swapping out relays,I found out that the seat was resting in the positive battery cable and breaking the wire right next to the battery terminal connector. I cut the wire and put a new connector on, same thing happened a couple months later. I believe the cable was installed wrong, I rerouted the cable around the other side of the battery, soldered the first inch or two together, put a new connector on, and haven't had a problem since. The solder gives it a little more support. |

I'm having the same issue and can't for the life of me figure it out. If you do the pin short method for codes it will likely throw Fan voltage Iat Interactive exhaust servo Low voltage I replaced battery, iat, emulator, and fan but it still does it |
