Bike stuttering and cutting and surging. When bad it happens at all engine speeds. |

Failed to mention. XB12X with 40K. Plugs have maybe 1K on them. Can a ECM cause this to happen? |

I'd start with the thread on electrical gremlins. Could be a bad wire, could be a bad sensor, could be a bad ground. Lots of things to check, but the checks are pretty straightforward. So it just takes some time and patience. The TPS can drift over time, but it would be unusual for a sudden change to happen. |

I have the low seat on mine. Which can rub on ecm. I noticed the rubbing on the ecm, and where the conn meet the main body (black box) of ecm it is loose? Bad circuit board? Was thinking about ebr ecm anyway. i have been through this thing about two months ago for the same thing. After 10 tps resets it seemed to straighten out a little. |

If it that connector is flopping (as opposed to just flexy) then that is likely an issue. You might be able to carefully dig in there and you might be able to re-solder the connectors, but an EBR ECM is a nice option as well (much more for some years than for others). |

I am going to look into that this weekend to see if ecm is concern. |
