I am wondering if anyone has tried to remove/add the shroud inside of the headlights for the low-beam ? I had recently upgraded to HID's and have been stopped a couple times for driving with me brights on. While i always use 'Be Seen, Be Heard' as my defense, it is only gonna last so long. Is there a way to add the shroud inside of the housing to make the high-beam light a low-beam ? If so, does anyone have one ? I would even consider just buying a complete low-beam housing from someone (if it is the newer style coating that doesnt flake off). |

Other options would be pointing the whole thing down so it's a low beam and a lower beam instead of a high beam. Or wiring it where the high beam only comes on with the high beam switch on, but the low beam never goes off. That gives you the HID high beam when you need it and there is no other traffic (rare for me, but maybe not for others) but doesn't bother people in the meantime. I left my high beam stock filament (so I can use the flash to pass) and left it off most of the time, and pointed the now HID low beam even lower to keep from blinding oncoming traffic. (For what that's worth) |
