I replaced my fuel pump.. while i was waiting on the new pump i decided to do a little maintenance. i fixed the muffler . it needed new guts and a little tlc . it was coming apart. then i removed the air filter box. bought aa k+n for it. when i took the air filter box i noticed the last owner must have lost a breather bolt so he replaced it with a copper hydrolic bolt that stripped out the jug because the thread was different . it was only stripped about 3 threads deep. so i bought the 1/2 by 13 tap and literaly tapped it by hand. i ordered the correct bolt . while i was waiting for it to arive my fuel pump came in . i installed it put a little gas in the tank and tried it only for a second to make sure it worked (none of the air intake was assemble). Also while i was waiting i pulled the throttle body out didnt disconnect anything and i put a new seal inbetween the throttle body and intake manifold. my bolts came in and i put the air box all back together ...now my problem ... My oil light is on and im getting alot of noise from the engine.the oil isnt reaching the valves. no pressure? The oil lvl is fine and i had no problems before i did the work. What could i have done? |

How do you know you are not getting oil to the top of your engine? Lifters sometimes pump out and are noisy until they refill. Happens frequently if you have been parked for a while, which it sounds like you have. Unless you swapped out your cam cover gasket, you don't have Wreaster's problem. |
