2010 XB12Ss, runs great, but every once in a while, there's an extra noise coming from the engine. It sounds kind of like an electric sewing machine, or somebody using scissors really fast. The two times I noticed this, the engine was warm (if not fan-on hot), I was using a lot of throttle, and the engine had been recently started (yeah, I stalled it at a stop sign and had to reignite). Closest thing I've found so far on this forum is this thread dealing with a loose primary sprocket nut: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/384 2/657697.html?1326656908 Any chance I'm barking up the right tree? |

Check the bike all over for loose bolts, body panels or anything that can possibly vibrate unchecked and make weird noises. A too loose primary chain can cause strange vibrations and make noises too. |
