As much as I loved the Diablo's, I needed something with alot more milage in them. I just flat out wore the Diablo's out too quick with my long jaunts on the freeway system. I decided for the next set of tires to try the Continental ContiForce Radial. http://www.conti-online.com/generator/www/de/en/continental/motorcycle/themes/mo torcycletires/sport_touring/force/force_en.html Well, they took a bit to scrub in, it seemed the release agent just didn't want to come off the tire so for the first 200 miles they were rather slick. Today they got a good taste of the rain as well and I can honestly say they did a great job. They don't stick in the dry as well as the Diablo's and the turning has gotten heavy again like the Dunlop's. Since its been 3500 miles since I had the Dunlops on I really can't say if it is heavier or lighter but definately not as light as the Diablo's. I still have my chicken strips, mostly because I haven't foudn the situation yet to get them leaned over that far. Confidence in the tire is good. Wear seems very minimal if at all, this is a sport touring tire after all. I may try the Road Attacks which Conti just released next. That is unless I end up moving where I don't do 200-300 mile freeway jaunts at a time... | ||

Wycked - besides wearing too quickly, what did you think of the Diablo's? I was thinking of getting a set for my bike because I used to have Pirelli Dragons (normal road, not evo or corsa) on my old bike which were my favourite tyre - pretty sticky, reasonably fast steering and HEAPS of steering feedback (which I like)... are the Diablo's anything like that or are they a totally different tyre? thanks in advance, lemonchili | ||

Take the Dragons, and as Emeril says "KICK EM UP A NOTCH! BAMM!" I loved them, I to had the Dragons when they first came out and the Diablo's do everything the Dragon's did, and then some. If I spent more time riding twisties to my long haul destination I could see dealing with the wear on the Diablo's, but I don't its mostly superslab. I just can't afford $120-160 every 3000-3500 miles. | ||

Cool, I'm sold  I don't ride my bike that much, which has it's plus and minus points (like my cornering getting a bit rusty!), but it does mean I can justify Diablo's I only found out today that Diablo's come in normal, corsa and I think there's a race version too. When I get to changing tyres I'll see what the price difference is between normal and corsa... Thanks for the info, and keep us up to date on the Conti's | ||

I was thinking of the Conti Road Attack as well. But so far I really like the Metzler M1s a LOT. I think though I'll try the Diablos first as I do more twisties than highway. Let us know how the Road Attacks do. I don't like the heavy steering, so feed back is appreciated very much. Thanks Wycked! Yesterday's ride.  | ||

I have the Conti Road Attacks,I have 3000 miles on them so far and very little wear.I live in Fla so not many twisties,but they seem to grip pretty well.Pretty good tire for commuting | ||

I have the road attacks and love them. My buddies were used to seeing my tires get tore up and a couple were standing around gawking at my 1,200 miles tires. They said it looked like I had maybe 200 on them. Nice turn in, good confidence and I run the rear off the edges. I live in the mountains and only ride twisties. Although we are planning a Palomar/Julian ride on Wed. and there will be a few straights ): |
