Seems like hardly anybody is doing any big engine mods with their Buells anynore. What hapened to all the folks doing 1250cc and 88" kits with thier bikes? Everything I read just seems to be about air cleaners and pipes if anything nowadays. |

Money. You can get a street legal and reliable 1125R or similar bike for what it would cost to rip a XB apart and make serious power. I have an XB12 motor in pieces I got cheap, I plan on slowly building it up. Part of me wants to dump a ton of coin with 88" kits, turbo, and all the other fun stuff, but at the end of the day it will still not have the power and cross country dependability that my 1125R has. |

There have been a few people on here that's done some top end work within the past year. Deanh, Blake, and Dhays1775 just to name a few. But like Froggy said I would rather fork out the $$ for the 1125 or something similar before tearing into the motor of my XB. |
