I just put on a brand new Flyscreen on my XBR12RSS. But after a few rides it cracked really bad at each of the four screws. Did I install it wrong? I left the 4 small plastic rings around the screws but if I buy another I could put bigger ones on. I didn't put that piece of foam on but I don't think that could have caused it |

Forget to mention it was the translucent orange color |

The translucent plastics are more delicate than the solid colors, and extra care is required when installing them. If I had to take a guess, I'd say the screws were overtightened causing the stress cracks. |

I think Froggy is correct. You have to be careful tightening screws on plastic windshields. You'll get stress cracks. |

It is not uncommon for various plastics to not like sustained strains. It would probably surprise some people how bad some "engineering" plastics are at relatively low strains. What that means to us ... torque to specs ... often. |

Ah thanks for the help, so if I buy another one, use plenty of Lock-Tite but very little torque? thanks again |
