Author Message   Madrahn Posted on Tuesday, October 04, 2011 - 04:35 pm:        I just put on a brand new Flyscreen on my XBR12RSS. But after a few rides it cracked really bad at each of the four screws. Did I install it wrong? I left the 4 small plastic rings around the screws but if I buy another I could put bigger ones on. If I had to take a guess, I'd say the screws were overtightened causing the stress cracks.   Pons Posted on Tuesday, October 04, 2011 - 05:22 pm:        I think Froggy is correct. You have to be careful tightening screws on plastic windshields. It would probably surprise some people how bad some "engineering" plastics are at relatively low strains.
