Correct me if I'm wrong but since I bought my 95 S2 new on March 19,2011 I am guessing that this bike was not included in the Signature Series group. From what I have read the Signature stuff was sent out to already purchased bikes. |

It was included. The package was prepared for ALL VIN's in the range of S2 models in 1995 and 1996. Your quest begins.

Court, I'm the second owner of my 1995 S2. I bought it with only 400 mi. on the OD. I never got the paperwork when I bought it. I had no idea of the historical significance this bike would later hold. I just loved riding the hell out of it. My guess is that paperwork and badge are not recoverable or duplicated anywhere? |

>>>>My guess is that paperwork and badge are not recoverable or duplicated anywhere? Almost correct . . .not quite correct. More accurately . . . . it's not that they are "not recoverable" it's that, at this moment in time, you just don't know where they are. And so, your quest begins. There is, somewhere here a Badweb, a spreadsheet of folks who have and are looking for kits. Find it and study it. Someone may be sitting on the one you want. I have a couple somewhere and, for a while, was just buying any of them that popped up on eBay. Funny that you mention "duplicate" as one of the Team Elves Operatives ( in charge of the Team Elves horn section and brass band) actually wandered upon all the material related to the genesis, development and deployment of the concept . . in a freaking garage sale . . .several years ago. The box of crap he bought for like $1 included the concept development, quotes for the package, the medallions, the engraving and the shipping. Someone had tossed the entire program file. I scanned it and have it buried somewhere. Anyway . . . . scout about a bit as you seek your needle in the Buell hay stack. You'll have fun and you may just be surprised. Court P.S. - Buell trivia . . . the quoted price for the kits was $360 per 1,000 kits. Entire program cost . . . $1,007.00 |
