Like the title says -
Is it possible, first off ?

Through the spring, my bike burnt/leaked about an ounce of oil to a tank of gas (@10k miles).
Since switching over to Amsoil, i noticed it hadn't been getting low..Thought GREAT!!
Until the shift side started making some louder more defined noises, popped the clutch cover and about an 1-1/2 low..

Now I am pretty sure I don't have any trans side leaks and I do run the 2 different grades of oil, engine/trans.
And yes i did check it mid July shortly after changing, and it was fine.

Any info would be appreciated, I figured I would be doing a rebuild this winter*.
Just want it to make it that long.

*winter - Noun, The time of year when its too cold to ride safely, when the average temperature is below 30 (F not C). And the colors switch randomly from white to grey.

I've never heard of transmission/primary lubricant leaking into the engine, only the reverse when the seal between the two goes bad.

What do you mean by "30-9r"?

And what do you mean by "popped the clutch cover and about an 1-1/2 low."

Is there any evidence that transmission oil has been expelled from the transmission breather? If a transmission gets some moisture in it (via poorly fit clutch cable adjuster boot, or even just condensation accumulation over time), when it gets hot enough (normal during summertime riding) the moisture can flash to steam and as it rapidly blows out of the breather, it can take some oil with it.

Your shift side noises may just be due to the low oil level and/or a loose primary chain.
