I purchased an '09 1125R recently and after reading the manual saw that you can set a security PIN to not allow the bike to start. When I tried to to set it using the default numbers, it didn't work. I took it to a dealer who said I would have to replace the entire instrument cluster to be able to set a PIN again. Does anyone know if this is true? I can't imagine anyone buying a used bike will have to replace the cluster to be able to use the security features. Any help would be appreciated.
