My '06 Ulysses will not start in neutral unless I pull in the clutch - then it starts and runs fine, however every time I pull in the clutch the neutral light comes on no matter what gear the shifter was in and the right turn signal does not work, but the left one does. Any ideas? |

Neutral switch is bad. You didn't say you changed/checked the bulb so I have to ask. Did you? Check for voltage with the bulb out. |

Terrys 1980, Thanks for the suggestion, I did not change the bulb-it works in that it lights up in neutral, goes off when in other gears, but also lights up whenever I pull in the clutch and goes off when the clutch lever is released which seems odd. At the same time this occured the right turn signal and indicator stoppped working while it works for the left signal. |

Problem solved! After doing some further research I tried reversing the diode (it was in the proper position as indicated in the service manual) and that resolved the problem. I don't know why the manual would indicate the reverse positioning, but turning the diode around did the trick. |

IIIII don't know but if it worked before I think you have other switch problems and the diode was correct. I have M2's so I have no books on your style. |

Lazrdoc, the R/H blinker issue could be related to a splice located at the headstock on an '06. There is a picture of the broken splice on this post: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/446370.html#POST1413351 Easy enough to isolate with the blinkers running (once you know where to poke at the loom). |
