Usually the ones on the battery corrode so it should be cleaned with a baking soda and water mix to remove the corrosion then burnish with a wire brush or emery cloth then reattach and spray a battery post protectant on the posts. The positive going to the starter can be done the same way. The ground to the frame will usually rust because of the steel so it can be cleaned then just reattach and spray a little clear coat on the connection to retard the rusting process plus it keeps the connection looking better longer.
