03 engine to 07 was quality an issue with 03 motors. thinking of putting an 03 in my 07 xb9r firebolt. thanks |

Quality is about the same. Big difference you will notice is that the 03 and 07 have different transmissions, and as result the 03 will be stiffer and harder to shift. The oil pump and gear is better in the 07, you might want to steal that out off of the 07. Also, the 07 has a larger throttlebody than the 03, you might want to swap that too! |

So the oil pump will swap like for like as well as the throttle body. Appreciate it just trying to look at all my opptions thanks |

If you use the 07 ECM, you definitely want to use the 07 throttle body. Totally different mapping. Al |
