Hi all, I'm new to this site, but not buells, ive owned buells since 99. I was riding about 75 mph, slowing down and the bike cut off. still had lights, power ect..seems the fuel pump wasnt getting power. checked the fuses on the side of the road, all good. turn key on and no fuel pump... a few tries later it kicked on and off i rode... any suggestions, help as to the cause, or whats possibly going on? thx guys |

When you turn the kill switch on, does the check engine light come on for a few seconds? If you get the CEL but no fuel pump priming, it may be the fuel pump, but if you aren't even getting the CEL then you may have an ECM issue. The ECM is what controls the fuel pump. |

Could also be loose wiring if it is intermittent. |

I was bit by the kickstand switch once. Was in the city took off from a stop turned the corner and it just came to a stop. Turned out to be a loose connection on the kickstand safety switch, had power, FI clicked but no starter engage. If it senses the stand is down it won't go..duh..took me a day to find the problem. |
