What is the best way to replace rocker gaskets? The service manual says to drop/rotate engine down. BUT, it also has a section where you lift the frame/gas tank off from the top (forks and tree included). I just changed all oils, went to lucas v-twin oil, and it sprang a couple leaks. So now, I am left with replacing gaskets. I don't want to have to waste all this nice high dollar oil by dropping lines and swingarm. I guess the question is, is it feasible to just pop the tank/frame off and fix gaskets, without draining oil? Thanks in advance. --Nick |

No need to remove the engine from the frame.. you can pivot it down and do everything you need to with it in that position. No need to drain the oil, remove oil lines, etc. |
