All, I'm trying to understand what is going on when I put a race ecm onto my uly, stock pipe, high flow filter. The beast starts, but will barely idle, until it gets warm, then it runs great, better than the stock ecm in my opinion. When I shut down, sit for a bit, then I get the same behavior. I thought it might just be running too rich at idle, smells like it, so I cut back on the cold start enrichment, but haven't been able to solve the problem. Can any of you school me about what is happening? |

Did you perform a TPS reset after the bike warms up? |

I've had to tune the crap out of my Buell to get it to run right, especially while idling and during startup/warmup. The factory settings are rubbish! For one, definitely modify the Warmup Enrichment table. If your bike stalls about 10-15 seconds after startup, you have a warmup enrichment problem. Try fattening up the mixture around the temperature range it's stalling it. I don't have any issues with mine anymore. There's another table for startup enrichment as well, maybe check that out. I datalogged the crap out of mine and tuned the fuel maps. |

Mesozoic, Thanks, I assumed I was too rich at start, but it sounds like I was wrong. I'll start working in the other direction. Would you share your table? |
