im looking to increase HP over the whole power band, i like a lot of low end torque but i dont want it to be outta poop when i ring it out. right now its a S1 1200 motor with: nrhs ported XB heads modded xb 9 pistons (11:1 ish) stock 96 cams (standard non s1w) stock ignition everthing stock carb with dynojet kit and 205/48 jet shimmed needle. open header (mufflers keep falling apart) but im taking the motor out for a frame resto and want to know what i SHOULD do with the motor out. what im thinking about doing is dropping some coin into this bike which i love instead of buying an 1125cr so engine budget? $1500-2000 but less is better. right now i love the power of it. id like about 10% more power, and maybe an extra 5% down low. my thoughts, correct me... 88" kit lower end rebuild (myself) and case boring (send in) 630/585 cams (send in while case apart) carb? cv44 or mikuni 45/48? ignition? ???? |
