Author Message   Nstorm76 Posted on Monday, February 14, 2011 - 10:09 am:        I have a 2007 XB12X Ulysses. I bought it with a blown engine, all apart. The engine is only good for parts. I have been looking on EBAY for a replacement engine. Does anyone know if a 2006 XB12R or 2006 XB12SS Engine will work in place of an XB12X? What is interchangeable, and what is not? Does anyone have an engine for sale out there? Thanks.   Hughlysses Posted on Sunday, February 20, 2011 - 10:00 pm:        Ned- I'm pretty sure any pre-2008 XB12 engine will work. There are some detail differences between years but the basic mounts, fuel injection, etc. are the same. I may be looking for an engine myself shortly...   Froggy Posted on Sunday, February 20, 2011 - 10:57 pm:        Any 04-07 Xb12 motor will drop right in no fuss. Try to get as close to an 07 as you can, they made incremental upgrades over the years to the oiling system and transmission. If you feel like experimenting a little, you can do an 08+ motor, but it has a different fuel injection system so you would need a new harness and ECM at a minimum.
