'03 xb9s in garage this winter. about a 1/2 gallon of gas maybe. started 4 weeks ago for about 2 minutes just to get it started. started fine at that time. went in again to do the same but now there's a loud clanking sound! fuel injectors still seem to be working. once i hit the button, the clanking starts. feels like it's coming from under the seat. i'm new to buell (about 2 months of riding before winter storage). any ideas or similar experience? thanks. |

Is it doing this when the bike is running or when attempting to start? |

Attempting to start. My neighbor said it was probably due to a low battery. I added a gallon of fresh fuel and am charging the battery now. The bike hasn't started since I heard the noise. |

Thanks, T. I'll check it out tomorrow morning. I have an '81 cb650 that never made that sound when the battery was low so that never crossed my mind when troubleshooting. |
