I just recently installed the Revolution 1250 kit on my 2000 Buell x1 Lightning. I am now in the market for a tuner and wanted to know what you guys recommend? Thanks |

Have a 99 X1 and I'm running a 1250 kit, 10.5:1 hurricane forged pistons (15* dome) from DAN (NRHS) and stock thunderstorm Porting Heads, stock .497 (X1/S3) cams, D&D FULL EXHAUST SYSTEM, C.F. OVAL AIR CLEANER FROM American Sport Bike. I you want you can to try loading my "custom" map for my Mods: About my Eeprom: - Race ECM tweaked with ECMSPY (Custom tuned and mapped). - WOT enrichment 125. - Default Open Loop Corr at 112. - Open Loop Learn Enable "Box unchecked". - Acceleration Enrichment (FULL ACCEL REVS IN 3) I spent a great deal of time and money on dyno, working on the fuel maps. Had my bike tuned with a wide band system on dyno with ECMSPY. So on the first run it made about 93.6 HP and 112 Nm (WOT enrichment at 115%) at the rear wheel, and the second run increasing the WOT enrichment to 125% it pulled 102.6 HP and 121 Nm at the rear wheel. Torque peaked at 4300 rpm and HP peaked at 6900 rpm. My bike runs great and and feel a solid increment in torque and power (midrange and top end). I'm pleased with the way it runs. I'm guessing that the race ECM just isn't flowing enough fuel for your particular setup, and the motor is running lean. It's hard to tell from over here, but I know that the Buell race ECM does a pretty good job compensating for engine modifications. My new Eeprom works fine with my setup but I don't know if it will work well to you. I don't know yours mods. just PM me and send you a eeprom copy...... |
