started my 07 xb12ss tonight after school today. was a warm day in Santa Rosa, CA. it was a little chilly at around 6pm when i went to leave. A little back ground, I have a Drummer and thats it, popped my seat the other day and my terminal screw was loose. put it back and no problem. so it starts but it sounds like like a Blast thump, thump thump, not the normal purrr. let it sit at idle for a second or two and the other cyl kicked in. but twice on the way home it almost died leaving an intersection. i turn it off after a 10 mile ride home, and no fan. the fan always come on. it might be a dead battery, bad plugs, wires, but i dont think so. i have a feeling its something else, its not just running "wierd" it is only running on one cyl im sure of it. any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated, im gonna go try to investigate further but cant do much myself, really dont want to bring it to a shop, it is at 7k and missed the 5k service, TPS being out of wack would just drop one cly would it? |

Most likely fouled plugs or chaffed plug wires. Being that it has only 7k miles on it and being about 5 years old, I would wager the plugs. |

Front one is easily accessible when you remove the left air scoop, but the rear one is a bit of a pain. Remove the airbox assembly, you can get down to the rear plug using a wobble socket. Use a piece of rubber hose to help feed in new plugs, as they tend to be easy to crossthread. |

The light will not come on for a fouled plug. |
