2006 XB12SS, i'm running an open airbox, Special Ops exhaust. With the stock ECM, everything works as normal. Fan comes on when it should etc. Installed Erik Buell Racing race ECM, fan worked as normal, some decel popping, spoke with Mike, sent it back for reprogramming. received ECM back, the tune is awesome, bike runs like a raped ape. No fan operation, throws CEL and error code for fan. Emailed Erik Buell Racing, they said replace fan. I've been through two used fans, and one new fan. They all do the same thing. They work with the stock ECM, but not with the Erik Buell Racing ECM. They are at the point they want to refund my $$, I would rather get another ECM with the same tune because it runs so well. I just want the fan to work as normal... Any ideas what could be causing this? Is it in the ECM? |
