Ok. So, I have modded my pipe, installed a K&N, and done a breather re-route. I've added fuel (as suggested by GBalias on the buelletinboard) to the problem cells for my little hesitation area around 2400-3000 rpm. The engine is a bit happier there now, but not completely smooth at cruise in this rpm range. I have checked for intake leaks, and gotten rid of throttle cable slop (as suggested by Al from American Sport Bike) but still I have an issue. So I'm wondering now if I should try tweaking the timing in this area? The question I have about this is: What do the numbers in the cells of the timing table represent? Are they the actual degrees of advancement/retarding of the timing? And what direction should I change them in my problem area? Bigger or smaller number? Thx once again for the help guys, you have been a valuable resource and I really appreciate the help. Without the help offered here a lot of people would probably sell a great bike due to a few small and fickle problems. Hoov |
