I have an 07 Uly that is cutting out at half throttle. The bike is completely stock and idles and runs fine up to about half throttle, then it feels just like someone turned the key off. When I release the throttle and then give it gas again it will run fine just as if nothing happened until I get to about half throttle again. This problem seems to happen regardless of RPM and whether or not I approach half throttle quickly or very gradually. If I ride the bike gently I can get it to rev all the way up in the lower gears without cutting out, so I know this is not a RPM related problem. The backstory on the problem goes back to when the wiring harness was shorted out by my local Harley dealer while replacing the rocker box gaskets. After the repairs the bike would run erratically and miss at any sustained throttle input. The wiring harness was repaired (after several trips back to 2 different dealers) but the problems stuck around. It is only recently that the bike has begun to cut out completely and render the throttle useless once half throttle is exceeded. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks, Jack |

I'm all ears on this problem to. Mine shut down while going up a freeway on ramp. It idled and rev'ed to 2500rpm 1 out of 10 tries if you turned slowly but nothing after that. I have checked the sensors using spy but all look good. It ran fine after I got it home but now I am wondering when the next cut out will happen. |
