I have a 04 buell blast and i need to rebuild the carb. Anyone know where i can get a good carb rebuild kit from? I have had a bit of a falling out with the local Harley Dealer and would prefer not to use them. |

Why not try one of the Sponsors here and have it shipped to you. I have used Hal's before and they did a good job. |

Amazing. That was unhelpfull, half assed and damn useless. I checked the sponsers from your site here and I could not fiind a carb rebuild kit for a buell blast from them. Hell I cant find one through google. But rather than spend 2 minutes helping somebody in distress you blow them off and point them at your moneymakers. Bert, find another line of work. |

Orclover, please stop the personal attacks. Nascar_pro24, did you try giving Hal's a call? I've rebuilt a ton of carbs for dirt bikes, and generally I don't need the full rebuild kit (though they are nice if you can find them). Usually, it's just a matter of taking it apart, having an insane amount of attention to detail and cleaning everything everywhere regardless if I think I need too or not, and putting it back together. And for reasons I don't understand, I often need to do it twice (where the second time goes a lot faster).... so clean it, try and dial it in, ride it for a week or so, then clean it and dial it in again. |

A quick tip: it's usually just the pilot jet plugged, and a steel guitar string (.022) is small and stiff enough to poke out the varnish such that Gumout can get in there. |

And you aren't supposed to use steel, you are supposed to use brass or aluminum. (But I use steel often anyway ) A couple nights in carb dip for just the jets (NOT THE WHOLE CARB) can do amazing things as well. |
