Greetings, I want to get my M2 tank painted. The paint is bubbled all over and it peals off. I was wondering what is the best way to remove the paint. Someone suggested plastic bumper paint remover. Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks in advance |

I am by-no-means a prof painter. I just painted my tank for the first time this spring. So far so good. I used 150,400,800, and 1000 grit wet/dry sandpaper. This should give you a good surface to prime. Be careful when you get down to the primer, in some spots you may see areas where the primer appears thicker that others. I believe that this is filler used to fill the tiny pinholes that exist in the outer surface of the plastic tank. I sanded through some of those spots and ended up having to coat the tank with some plastic filler and then re-sand again, then fill and sand.... You get the picture. |

Ok got gouges in the tank that need filling. Then sanding. What is the best plastic filler to use? Newbie question...What is the easiest way to find my posts on Badweb? I keep typing BCP on the search feature to find them. Any way easier? Thanks! |

I used a plastic filler that I found at an autoparts store (VIP). I can't remember the brand, but I wasn't looking for anything specific. Just make sure that its for plastic, that's all. Anyone chime in if I'm missing any details. |
