I searched and searched and could not find anyone that listed a bulb cross reference. I just can't see paying HD dealers for a common light bulb. I'm in the aviation electronics industry, and have been using a great website called www.donsbulbs.com for years. You can find any size, shape, number, or spec you want. Works great for this application. I believe heavily in not upping the wattage too much unless you do other provisions(relays, wiring, etc.) Since I am heavily into automotive electronics, I catered these specs to what I wanted for my 2002 X1. Other Buells may or may not be similar. I also heard rumors of manufacturers making bulbs more vibration friendly for bikes, such as the H4 vs. 9003. I've also heard that's not true, it's a DOT vs. Europe standard approval thing. I'm not caring if I need to replace them a little more often. Here's a short list of what I found so far, all available at your local Napa Auto Parts. Tach: Factory 1.7w(watt) small wedge Use #2723 (2.3w) or #70 (2.1w) I believe these will also work for some of the other indicator lights. Speedo: Factory 1.7w normal wedge base #161 (2.7w) You could try #194, however they are 3.8w, and I wanted it to match the tach, and was a little worried about heat. Turn Signals: Factory 10w labeled #5008 #105 10w or #17311 10w Feel free to add or suggest others. Thanks! Chad |
