I have been trying to bleed my frotn brake on my XB. Method 1: Mighty Vac style brake bleed using a ziptie at the bleed screw to ensure airtight seal. Method 2: Hand pump the lever letting pressure off at the bleed screw. Method 3: same as two but filling the hose from the bleed screw to a jar of brakefluid with brakefluid so that any airbubbles would show in the hose. I still can't get enough pressure built up to have less then 3/4 pull on the lever. Since I tend to 3 finger brake I can apply enough pressure to ride safely, but it isn't a comfortable feeling. I would like to have the solid feel at the lever I had before. The first time I bled the brakes a few months ago I had no problems and had the original feel at the lever. Now I just can't seem to get them to bleed right. All fittings are tight and there are no leaks present anywhere in the system. |
